Een Tegen Eenzaamheid

A SMALL GESTURE CAN MAKE ALL THE DIFFERENCE.

“Loneliness” is an unpleasant, uneasy feeling. It is especially common among the elderly. Due to corona, loneliness became even more visible in society. We know from research that 'loneliness' is also seen as a sensitive, vulnerable subject that people prefer to keep to themselves (taboo). Communicating about the personal characteristics of loneliness can have a stigmatizing effect and evoke shame. If you pay close attention, you will see clearly identifiable moments when a person can start to feel lonely. For example, if the partner dies, if someone moves or retires so that the work environment is lost, or because of the corona measures. Suddenly, loneliness becomes something that can happen to anyone.
